Copper Coast is located on the northern end of Vancouver Island, at the edge of the village of Port Alice, BC.

There are many easy ways to get here:

COMING FROM:
VANCOUVER’S LOWER MAINLAND

Take either the Horseshoe Bay ferry or the Tsawwassen ferry to Nanaimo (bcferries.com). From Nanaimo take Hwy 19 north. Ten minutes after Port McNeill look for Hwy 30 and turn left. You’ll catch a glimpse of Beaver Lake on your right. Port Alice is 30 kms away from this turnoff.

NOTE:

The Marble River is a good place to stop and enjoy the view!

FLY THEN DRIVE:

Westjet flies to Comox and Air Canada flies to Campbell River. From the Comox airport take Hwy 19 north. If you prefer the scenic route with ocean views take Hwy 19A instead. Be sure to stop in Campbell River at Crabby Bob’s (705 Island Hwy) down at the docks for a seafood meal, or try Koto’s (80 10th Ave) for sushi. If you need an espresso or latte for the drive, Shot in the Dark Café on the waterfront serves ‘em hot - or there’s a Starbucks at the Ironwood shopping center. When you’re ready to leave Campbell River, take Hwy 19 north again to 10 minutes after Port McNeill. On the left will be the turn off to Hwy 30 and Port Alice.

FLY MORE, DRIVE A LITTLE LESS:

If you would prefer to fly more and drive less Pacific Coastal Airlines (pacificcoastal.com) flies from Calgary, Vancouver, Comox or Campbell River straight to Port Hardy. Pick up a rental car at the Port Hardy airport and you’ll be in Port Alice in 40 minutes.
